World Environment Day Observation

The NSS Unit, in association with the SSGP of Government Homoeopathic Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram, observed World Environment Day on 5th June 2026 at the Pharmacy College campus. The programme aimed to promote environmental awareness and encourage sustainable practices among students and faculty.

The inaugural function was graced by Shri D. Sajith Babu, IAS, Director of AYUSH, Government of Kerala, as the Chief Guest, and Dr. T. K. Vijayan, Principal, Government Homoeopathic Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram. As a symbol of environmental conservation and commitment towards a greener future, the dignitaries planted tree saplings on the campus. Around 40 students from the Second and Third BHMS classes, along with teaching faculty members, actively participated in the programme, reaffirming their commitment to protecting the environment and promoting ecological sustainability.
