Since its inception in 1993 alongside the establishment of the college, the Department of Pathology and Microbiology has remained a cornerstone of academic excellence at Government Homoeopathic Medical College & Hospital, Thiruvananthapuram. The department caters to II BHMS students, delivering an integrated curriculum based on the standards set by the Kerala University of Health Sciences (KUHS), Thrissur and the Central Council of Homoeopathy (CCH) / National Commission for Homoeopathy (NCH), New Delhi.

Our department blends academic knowledge with clinical relevance, enabling students to understand the human body’s responses to disease-causing factors. Emphasis is placed on interpreting signs and symptoms, correlating them with pathological findings, and integrating the miasmatic approach for accurate homoeopathic prescriptions.

We aim to mold competent homoeopathic physicians equipped with essential diagnostic skills for effective clinical evaluation, prognosis, disease prevention, and management.

Spread across 195 sq. m, featuring three faculty rooms, a resource-rich library, a museum-cum-demonstration room, and a fully equipped laboratory.

Fully outfitted with all essential instruments, the lab supports required space for practical sessions in Pathology and Microbiology.
