The Department of Surgery imparts quality education to UG students on SURGERY, ENT, OPHTHALMOLOGY, and ORTHOPAEDICS and DENTISTRY. The department focus on giving updated training for students and house surgeons in various aspects of patient care. Homoeopathy has proven to play a significant role in preventing several surgical interventions, provided that the Physician can diagnose early and administer appropriate treatment while also considering supplementary measures.

Key features

Well established outpatients (OPD) and inpatients (IPD) settings. Students learn under the supervision of experienced faculties.

Regular and punctual lectures, case based studies, basic surgical procedures, diagnostic procedures and treatment.

Imparts proper medical care to patients and teach the fundamentals of examination of patients with surgical problems

Encourages student scholarship programme and research in Homoeopathy.

Facility for observing surgical procedure and cases at General Hospital Trivandrum.

Teach students to identify referral criteria for medical emergency and surgical conditions.

Understand applied Materia Medica in common surgical conditions which can managed with Homoeopathy

Assess the students ability to perform bed side clinical procedures and the physical examination that is relevant for diagnosis and management of diseases.
